The Kanso Collective is a brand run by Zeebo UK Ltd ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you visit thekansocollective.com, join a waitlist or email list, create an account or buy from one of our makers, and what we do with it.

## What we collect

- **When you join the waitlist:** your email address, your answers to the five questions (what you'd wear them for, what you wear on top, your color and your size), your referral code, who referred you if anyone did, and the time you joined.
- **When you reserve a pair:** your email address, color and size, and from PayPal the payment's transaction ID, amount and the email address on your PayPal account. PayPal handles your card or account details; we never see them.
- **When you join a maker's email list** (for example Aubrey Kurlansky's): your email address, your region and the page you joined from. We use it to send new designs and offers; every email lets you unsubscribe.
- **When you buy from a maker's page:** PayPal handles payment and sends us your name, email address, shipping country and address, and what you bought. We keep a record of your orders to thank repeat customers and offer them early access.
- **When you create a Kanso Collective account:** your email address, the date you joined, and the one-time sign-in codes we email you (stored only in scrambled form and valid for 10 minutes). Your account shows the orders and reservations made with your email address, and any discount codes issued to you.
- **Discount codes:** personal codes we issue (for example 10% off your next order) are linked to your email address so each one can be used once.
- **Style quiz and pop-ups:** on a maker's pages you may answer a few questions (who a piece is for, how it will be worn, colours you like, the occasion) to get suggestions and a discount code. We keep your answers with your email address if you give it.
- **After you order:** if you answer our short poll (how you heard about us, who the piece is for, any comment), we keep your answers with the order.
- **When you contact us about partnering:** your name, email address, what you make, where you're based, a link to your work and your message.
- **To stop spam sign-ups:** your IP address, kept briefly to limit how many sign-ups come from one connection.
- **Essential cookies:** cookies and local storage that keep you signed in to your account (for up to 60 days, or until you sign out), remember your region and currency, keep the contents of your bag, remember that you've seen a pop-up, save your place on a waitlist and remember your cookie choice. The site needs these to work, so they don't ask for your consent.
- **Analytics cookies (with your consent):** through Google Tag Manager we use Google Analytics to record the pages and pieces you view and what you do on the site (opening the waitlist, adding to your bag, checking out), with device and browser details. This tells us what's working.
- **Marketing cookies (with your consent):** the Meta Pixel and Google's advertising tools record the same visits so we can measure our ads and show you our pieces again on Instagram, Facebook and Google (retargeting). Meta may also receive a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address to match your visit to a Meta account.

## How we use it

- To sign you in, show your orders and send emails you need: sign-in codes, order confirmations and your discount codes.
- To email you when the first run is ready, with your discount, and with occasional news and offers from our makers if you joined a list. Every marketing email includes a link to unsubscribe.
- To suggest pieces you might like, based on your quiz answers and what you've bought.
- To decide what to make, such as how many of each color and size.
- To run the referral list and move people up when friends join.
- To measure and improve our ads on Meta and Google.
- To keep the site secure and stop abuse.

## Who we share it with

We don't sell your email address or quiz answers. We share data only with the services that run the site, our emails and our ads: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), PayPal (payments for reservations and orders), Postmark (sending our emails), Google (Tag Manager and Analytics) and Meta (Pixel and Conversions API). Meta and Google may use the data they receive under their own policies, including to show you ads. Makers receive what they need to make and send your order, such as your name, shipping address and what you bought.

## Your choices

- **Unsubscribe:** use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- **Close your account, leave a list or delete your data:** email [hello@thekansocollective.com](mailto:hello@thekansocollective.com) from the address you signed up with and we'll remove you.
- **See or correct your data:** email us and we'll send you what we hold.
- **Cookie choices:** if you're in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, we ask before using analytics or marketing cookies, and they stay off until you accept them. Everywhere else they're on by default. Wherever you are, you can accept, reject or choose each kind at any time with the [Cookie settings](#cookie-settings) link at the bottom of every page. We remember your choice for six months. You can also adjust ad settings in your Meta and Google accounts, and an ad blocker or Global Privacy Control limits what these tools collect.

Depending on where you live, including California, you may have further rights under local privacy law. Email us and we'll help.

## How long we keep it

We keep your account and list details until you ask us to remove them, and waitlist details until we no longer need them for the launch and the offer. Order records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes and are deleted soon after. Analytics data is kept under Google's and Meta's standard retention settings.

## Children

The site isn't meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

## Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes will be emailed to people on the waitlist.
