About this design
In Madama Butterfly, by Giacomo Puccini, a young bride, Cio-Cio-San, binds her fragile world to a promise spoken lightly by a foreign sailor. She waits—through seasons, through silence, faith becoming ritual, love becoming faith. He forgets; she remembers.
Every design starts as Aubrey's own artwork. The silk twill is woven in China, the home of silk; each scarf is then printed, finished by hand and signed in Bangkok.
