Designed in Bangkok

Aubrey Kurlansky spent years designing interiors for luxury hotels in Singapore and Bangkok before turning to silk. His prints bring the same eye for pattern and color: florals, botanicals and geometrics, each one his own artwork.

Questions

How big is it?

65 × 180 cm (about 26 × 71 inches): long enough to wrap as a hijab with a full, fluid drape, one end over the shoulder.

What is it made of?

To confirm: silk. We will confirm the weave and weight before launch.

Will I pay customs duty or VAT on delivery?

Yes. UAE customs duty and VAT (about 5% each) are collected by the courier when your order arrives; we don't charge them at checkout.

How long does delivery take?

Tracked delivery from our studio in Bangkok (AED 110): 2 to 3 weeks for pieces in stock, or 6 to 8 weeks for pieces made to order. We deliver within the UAE.

Why does PayPal show US dollars?

PayPal doesn't take payments in dirhams, so it charges the same price in US dollars: $236 for AED 865. Your bank converts it.

Are the photos real?

The hijab photos are digitally created previews that show how each print drapes. The scarf flat images are the real artwork.
